It is with a heavy heart that I write this, that after two years on free lease (thank you to Sharron and family for taking such wonderful care of our beloved goats), the Pacqio Boer Goats are now available for sale. I had hoped to resume breeding from them this year but my life has headed in a different direction.
Prices are negotiable, especially if taking the goats together. Goats will only be sold to the best of homes.
Calamity - 5 year old doe, purebred but unregistered - proven breeder, friendly
Name: Pacqio Calamity Jane
DOB: 4th August 2007
Sire: Franklin Park Assassin Dam: Franklin Park Z3
Calamity embodies almost everything I am looking for in a meat goat. She is large framed and very heavy. She is long and deep bodied and very wide. She carries a large amount of muscling and is very easy keeping - she can get fat off just the smell of grass. She was bottle raised after her mother rejected her, so she is very friendly. She has been shown at a local level, receiving Champion Commercial Meat Goat at Henty 2008 and 2009 as well as Culcairn 2008. She is a proven breeder, usually having twins or triplets. Calamity will only be sold to the very best of homes as she is very dear to my heart.
'Linus' - 5 year old registered fullblood doe, Micathel bloodlines
Registered name: Micathel F C7040 (AI)(TW)
DOB: 29th August 2007
Sire: Terraweena Rex (ET) Dam: Micathel Lyn (ET) (TW)
Linus has a stacked pedigree, coming from the highly successful Micathel stud and by a Terraweena buck. She has the outlook to match the pedigree, with a beautiful front end and great breed character to her head, ears and horn set. She has a lovely feminine wedge and a long and deep body, and always carries a good amount of muscle without losing her femininity. Linus kidded a daughter for us before the herd went on lease, her daughter was every bit as beautiful as her with a great long body and well structured legs. Linus is a proven breeder, a great mum, would be able to be shown, and would be a great addition to anyone's herd.
Effie - 3 year old purebred doe (can be registered) very friendly $350
Name: Pacqio Effie (TRP)
Sire: Coonong Padraig Dam: Franklin Park Dusty
Effie is a very special little boer doe, she must be part cat somewhere because I swear she has nine lives! She came very close to death three times as a tiny baby and I managed to pull her through each time. Effie was bottle raised inside the house because she was so sick; because of this she is extremely friendly, I'm sure she thinks she is human. She would hop into my bed at night and sit on the couch if she was allowed to. Effie is a small doe though nicely put together with correctly structured legs and a nice long body. She is however a 'paint' coloured boer so cannot be shown. Her mother was a show doe and I have no doubt she would throw showable babies. Effie is currently unregistered, but registration could be arranged as both her sire and dam are registered. She has kidded twice now and thrown twins each time; she is an excellent mum. Effie will only be sold to the very best of homes who understands how special she is. I have no doubt that for the right person she will not only be a good addition to the breeding herd but also a very special companion.
Charlie and Chaplin - fully trained harness and pack wethers $POA
75% boer, 25% dairy
Charlie and Chaplin are twin brothers who were bottle raised from birth after their mother died, so they are extremely friendly and affectionate, and they are lovely pets. They are also very special goats as they are fully harness trained - meaning they have been taught to wear a harness and pull a cart. Charlie and Chaplin have both been used extensively in harness, mainly for giving childrens rides. They are desensitised to vehicles, other animals, noise and crowds (including kids). They have been worked both on and off the road and truly enjoy their work. They have also been used as pack goats. These boys do need a high fence or a conventional fence with top electric wire, if not within a secure fence they will jump out to come and find you for a cuddle! They also tether well (under supervision). Charlie and Chaplin can be sold with their harness and cart, or without, but they MUST BE SOLD TOGETHER, I will not separate these boys as they have lived together their entire lives and they would be heartbroken without each other. Please contact for a price on these very special and talented boys. (Click on the pictures below to see them bigger)
